Excellent value. Close to supermarket, minutes to the subway, and room was very clean
The hotel was clean and great location, walking distance of some nice shopping streets and minutes from a subway station
could be great for a city break. staff were all very loyal. booked small queen room with a private safe, an electronic key card and a work desk. access to radmansgatan metro station, which is steps away from the property.
Shame the bathroom was very dated.
We had 3 nights in Stockholm, spend our time here comfortably...
hotel is perfect and is just as described. breakfast is abundant and of very high quality with a variety of options ranging from the usual to vegan options. truth is that it is worth staying with breakfast included, it is one of the best breakfast buffets I have seen in all the trips I have been on, have been more than a few. hotel staff is very, friendly. rooms are quiet, well soundproofed, you can't hear anything and that makes it easier to rest. cleaning is taken care of to the extreme and small details in the room like: high quality amenities, free gas water, coffee in the free room, ironing board, iron, hair dryer, that we stay in a basic room. location of the hotel, 15 minutes walk from the center and connected to the subway, makes it easy to travel around the city. I will definitely come back to this hotel.
My sister gave me a three-day stay in Stockholm. So, I didn't expect much from an unknown hotel. Birger Jarl, as a hotel, has exceeded all my expectations. For various reasons: attention of the reception department, professionalism of the cleaning staff, quality at breakfast - I have been to some hotels: for the price, excellent - and great value for money at dinner. In addition, to say that the managers make an effort to open the restaurant and bar to the local population, organizing an attractive and unobtrusive live music once a month. If you stay a few days you will be surprised by the diverse workers you will get to see. There is an explanation for this: the management of two more hotels in the city centre is in turn run by the operator. So they rotate their staff as needed. All the rooms have a practical iron and a corresponding table. important detail if you have any meeting or encounter that requires a certain presence. All of them also have a hot water dispenser and envelopes for your tea or coffee. Excellent idea. Note that the rooms are of various types. most economical, with a functional toilet and shower, about 18-20m2. best and most spacious, about 45-50m2. Already with a respectable toilet, few closets of wood and no narrowness. In twenty minutes walking the tourist is in front of the Royal Palace and Old Town. in front of the docks from where those pleasant sea excursions that circumnavigate the archipelago that makes up the Swedish capital start. visit to the Royal Island of Djurgärden is a must. There you will find a large number of public and private museums. Viking History Museum and Scandinavian or Nordic Customs Museum are excellent for their seriousness. Maritime and Vasa are not far away. It is because they are in Stockholm, at a moderate price but in a very quiet area that I recommend this establishment. Many..
I'm a hotelier, professionally I can't say I disliked anything about the Birger Jarl. Every object must be judged by what it costs. If the price is right and performance is right, there's nothing to say. Congratulate the management.
Friendy heplful staff. Good breakfast. On bus route into central Stockholm.
Nice staff and design of the hotel, great breakfast. A good location for who want to visit the city
The room was clean and comfortable. The staff was very helpful. The centre of the city is within walking distance and there are some good restaurants and cafes nearby.
The breakfast was not up to the standard that one would expect from a four star hotel. The wireless internet was not working for most of the stay. The rate was expensive, relative to the quality of the accommodation and service.
helpfull staff, possibility to ask for different room due to location of my room, quiet street, close to Stureplan and only 20 min walking to center, great, great breakfast
strange scent in corridors and bathroom
free internet, great breakfast, friendly desk staff that was willing to make reservations and phone calls for us
air was very dry, sauna not working
good location , nice rooms, excellent brakfast
Busines centre to work
Location and price, nice room, clean and well furnished, the use of colour and light is a well thought out design.
Good location, nice hotel, convenient parking and excellent breakfast. The room was very comfortable as was the bed. The free wifi was also a very useful benefit
Almost £25 to park my car for the night, this is expensive
